So, we made it six months. And, as Tara pointed out, there are a handful of us that have attended every single wine night since December, which makes us... well it makes us the sort of people that like to get drunk like clockwork. But that doesn't mean we don't like newcomers, because we love us some newcomers! When Tim was new, we loved him. But then he started giving every wine 2s, 3s and 4s. Then we didn't like him so much. (Just kidding, Tim, we still like you!) Jamie's gathering brought us a ton of new winos - winos that were 100% committed to taking wine night seriously. Much appreciated.
Anyway, so far we've tasted 53 wines. 53! That's a lot of bottles of wine!

Bottom Five Wines Tasted
1. 2007 Kendall Jackson Riesling - average score of 4.7 out of 10
2. 2006 Rock River Zinfandel - average score of 4.6 out of 10

4. 2007 Les Granges Cabernet Franc - average score of 3.9 out of 10
5. 2007 Vino De Eyzaguirre Cabernet Sauvignon - average score of 3.8 out of 10
Shouldn't the bottom five go the other way? The 3.8 Cab be number 1 and the Kendall Jackson with a 4.7 be five? Seems to make more sense.
ReplyDeleteInteresting the Kendall Jackson made bottom five. Had a couple order Kendall Jackson Chardonnay the other day confident and almost snoody about it. Not to me, but in the way of they know their wines. I'd like to see how the Kendall Jackson pairs against it's reisling. Maybe I'll bring that! Ooooo.
Well Kendell Jackson Chardonnay is much more popular than the Rieseling. The Chard was one of the top selling Chards at the liquor store when I worked there. I hope someone brings it to Chard night. Depending on which one of you (Alissa or Tim) wins the battle for the Bogel, the other can get the Kendell. It won't really matter, as I am certain that my wine will win...AGAIN!
ReplyDeletePeople that are snooty about Kendall Jackson are boursgie.
ReplyDeleteBecause the bottom is the bottom, that's why, Li.
ReplyDeleteI still think it should be the other way around. Number 1 should be the worst of the worst.
ReplyDeleteWill you guys stop being so boursgie about your numbering system...lol
